Dr. John Ayres
Dr. John Ayres is a 1991 graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK. His origins from a Saskatchewan farm have contributed to his interest in rural mixed veterinary practice and the business management side of veterinary practice.
In addition to his duties as a partner veterinarian in Norsask Veterinary Group, John has been extensively involved with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association (SVMA) on a number of committees, including a stint as the president of the Association. He has recently just completed a 2-year term as Board Chair for Western Drug Distribution Centre (WDDC), a national veterinary supply distribution cooperative based in Edmonton.
Away from the practice, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children,
Dr. Andrea Petruka
Dr. Andrea Petruka is one of the partners at Norsask Veterinary Group. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and has been at Norsask ever since. She grew up in southeastern Saskatchewan on a grain and beef farm and she tries to remain involved with the family farm as much as she can. Andrea loves all aspects of mixed animal practice but her main interests in veterinary medicine include pain management, small animal surgery and small animal dentistry. She has taken numerous courses in orthopedic surgery and dentistry and is pleased to offer these services to our patients. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys cooking, gardening, motorcycling with her husband and spending time with her Basset Hound named Oscar and a Pug named Freddy.

Dr. Aimee Hayden
Dr. Aimee Hayden is originally from southern Alberta. She is a 2004 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Aimee has had a great deal of experience in mixed practices in Alberta and Saskatchewan and is very interested in all aspects of practice. In addition to her veterinary career, Aimee and her husband own and operate a large cattle and grain farm. Dr. Hayden loves to spend time with her 4 growing children at home.
Dr. Jesse Vargo
Dr. Jesse Vargo graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Before joining Norsask Veterinary Group in June of 2017, Jesse worked in a rural mixed animal practice. Jesse grew up on a mixed grain and beef farm in the south east section of Saskatchewan. Jesse’s special interest is in large animal medicine and surgery, although he enjoys all aspects of the mixed practice of veterinary medicine. Jesse currently lives in Warman with his wife and twin daughters, who keep him busy during his off hours. When he isn’t running after the girls Jesse enjoys playing hockey and slo-pitch as well as camping and being outdoors with his family. Jesse looks forward to seeing your animals, either in the clinic or on your farm!
Dr. Anne Hanbidge
Dr. Anne Hanbidge is a 2019 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up south of Saskatoon raising purebred Maine Anjou cattle on the family farm. Growing up with animals, all shapes and sizes, fueled her desire to become a mixed animal practitioner. In her spare time, Anne enjoys volleyball, basketball, cooking, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Megan Carlson
I graduated from the WCVM in 2011. I have been working in Saskatchewan in a rural mixed animal practice ever since graduation. I enjoy all aspects of mixed animal veterinary medicine with special interests in ophthalmology and surgery. Although I am from the small town of Battleford, Saskatchewan and did not grow up on a farm I have a special interest in large animal including bison , horses and beef cattle. (I love getting out preg checking in the fall and semen testing in the spring.) When I’m not working, I’m training for 1/2 marathons, in the gym enjoying CrossFit, or outside cross country skiing. My husband and I have two goofy, slobbery bull mastiffs. We enjoy camping in the summer and sledding in the winter.
Dr. Alisha Triff
Alisha is from Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Prior to getting into vet school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Regina. In her spare time, she enjoys all things outdoors, especially hiking and camping. She currently lives with her cat, Ninja, but is hoping to expand that to include a dog that will enjoy adventuring just as much as she does. She is excited to start her career seeing a variety of species, both big and small.
Veterinary Technicians
Shannon, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Shannon is a Registered Vet Tech who joined the Warman Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 2019. She graduated from Kelsey SIAST in 2010. Shannon lives in Warman with her two sons, Daxter and Ryker and their frenchton, Olive. Shannon enjoys camping, being with family, travelling and exploring new places with her boys.
Emily Robinson, Registered Veterinary Technologist, Specialty – Nutrition
Emily is a Registered Veterinary Technologist that has worked at the Warman Veterinary Clinic since May 2014. She graduated from the SaskPolytech Veterinary Technology program in 2009. In 2018 Emily obtained her Veterinary Technologist Specialty in Nutrition from the American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition. Emily and her husband have a Weimaraner named Pluto (13 years) and two cats named Rascal (14 years) and Gizmo (9 years). Emily enjoys quilting, crafting, and gardening in her spare time, which is limited due to having two small children at home.
With her passion in nutrition she enjoys talking about pet food and loves to see every pet as they progress from babies, to adults, to seniors. Her favourite nutrition cases are the challenging seniors, wonderfully committed weight loss patients and in clinic medical patients.
Brittany Knight, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Brittany Knight is a Registered Veterinary Technologist at the Warman Veterinary Clinic. She joined the practice in September 2018. Brittany graduated in 2015 from the Kelsey SIAST Veterinary Technology Program in Saskatoon, SK. Brittany grew up on combination grain and beef cattle farm in SouthWestern Saskatchewan and loves going home and visiting family as much as possible. Brittany lives in Saskatoon with her husband Richard and their 2 cats. She enjoys kickboxing, reading and travelling and visiting family. She can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
Stephanie Fries, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Stephanie Fries is a Registered Veterinary Technologist that graduated from Lakeland College in Vermilion, AB in 2002. She started off at the Warman Clinic in spring 2013 and moved to the Rosthern Clinic in fall 2021. She currently owns 2 horses, 1 dogs, and 3 cats. She looks forward to seeing you and your pets, big or small.
Kristi Harms, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Kristi is a Registered Veterinary Technologist who joined the clinic in the summer of 2021. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2012 and went on to work in private practice and then in various departments at the Veterinary Medical Center. Kristi has a strong interest in nutrition and aging pets: helping to find the proper supplements and therapies to keep them active and comfortable.
Kristi currently lives on an acreage outside of Warman with her husband Tim, where they run a small alpaca ranch called Underdog Alpacas. Their other pets include 4 dogs: Stella, Crash, Brandy & Daphne, 2 cats: Bruce & Clark, 2 horses: Digger & Louie and a flock of brahma chickens. When not occupied by the farm, Kristi loves to spend time at their cabin enjoying lake life.
Dria, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Dria is a registered veterinary technologist who graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2017. Dria grew up on a beef farm just north of Duck Lake, and continues to spend many hours there during calving season. In her spare time you’ll see her riding her horses Coda and Sprite.
Ginger Rempel, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Ginger grew up in rural Manitoba and has always had a love for rural life and animals, most of all horses! She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in June 2021, and has worked in mixed practice ever since. Ginger loves the variety that the job offers, as every day is different and has its unique challenges. She is passionate about patient care and making sure her patients are as comfortable as possible! In her free time, Ginger enjoys outdoor activities, horse riding, traveling, learning new skills, and spending time with her friends, family and cat Georgie!
Cadence Thompson, Registered Veterinary Technologist
My name is Cadence Thompson, I graduated in 2020 from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in the Veterinary Technology program. I grew up in Warman, and always knew I would have a career working with animals!
I now live in Hepburn with my husband, Brennan and our daughter Oakleigh. I am happiest spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. I love to travel and explore new areas of the world. I am very excited to start my new adventure at Warman Veterinary Clinic and look forward to building relationships with all the clients and pets I cross paths with.
Tori Neufeld, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Tori graduated in 2019 from the Veterinary Technician Program in Saskatoon. She is currently living in Dalmeny with her husband, Devon, and dog, Echo. She grew up on a cattle farm west of Langham and enjoys going back home to help. Tori enjoys spending her free time with friends and family and enjoys going camping, and hunting.
Joelle Glassford, Registered Veterinary Technologist
Joelle is a veterinary technologist who recently graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and is excited to start her career at Warman Veterinary Clinic. Joelle grew up in rural Saskatchewan with a strong interest in wildlife and worked as a wildlife rehabilitator while in school. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family, friends, and her dog, Jager.
Kaylee Haberstock – Registered Veterinary Technician
Kaylee grew up in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan and has always had a passion for animals. She graduated in 2024 from the Lakeland College Animal Health Technology program. During school Kaylee found a passion for working with large animals and is excited to continue learning through Norsask. In her free time, she enjoys new adventures, going to the lake, traveling, and spending time with her dogs.
Leah Peters – Registered Veterinary Technician
Leah Peters recently graduated from the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Veterinary Technology program and joined Norsask Veterinary Group after finishing her practicum at the Warman Clinic. She grew up on a small farm outside of Osler with her interest in animals beginning from a young age. She loves spending her free time making memories with family and friends. She is excited to work with Norsask Veterinary Group while making new connections and learning new things along the way!
Veterinary Assistants
Jill Pauls, Veterinary Assistant
I joined the Norsask team at the beginning of 2021 as a vet assistant. I grew up on a mixed farm a couple hours northwest of Warman and was involved in 4H beef, sheep, and light horse projects for many years, my love of learning more about the care and health of animals eventually led me to become an certified and insured equine and canine Bodyworker. I’m excited to work with the great staff at WVC as I continue to learn more about animal health and wellness and meet all your pets. I also enjoy playing sports, reading, hanging out with family and friends, riding and training my horses Angel and Spartacus and also my dog Luna.
Denise Giesbrecht, Veterinary Assistant
Hi! I’m Denise and I joined the Warman Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant in fall 2022. I grew up on an acreage and enjoyed being around a variety of animals which eventually led me to become a veterinary assistant. I have a goldendoodle named Chezzy who I have unofficially trained as an alert dog for type 1 diabetes. I enjoy spending my spare time gardening, baking and camping. I look forward to joining the Norsask team and meeting all of your pets!
Dani Ornawka, Veterinary Assistant
I am very excited to join Norsask Veterinary Group at their Rosthern location in November of 2022. I have worked in the vet industry for over 10 years as a vet assistant and couldn’t imagine it not being part of my life. My passion for animals and my huge interest in their health and well being surrounds me in both my work life and my personal life, as my husband and I run an Equine facility just north of Rosthern. My love for horses and riding keep me busy as well as our flock of sheep, 3 dogs and numerous feline friends!
Caitlin Brock, Veterinary Assistant
Caitlin joined Warman Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant in the fall of 2023. She moved to Warman after graduating from the Veterinary Technical Assistant program at Olds College in 2022. She lives in Warman with her Fiancé, Layne and her dog and cat, Riggs and Jinx. When not at the clinic Caitlin enjoys spending time with her fiancé and pets, specifically going pheasant hunting with her GSP Riggs. She is happiest being outside adventuring or inside snuggled in a blanket cuddling her fur babies.
Lauren Bueckert, Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Lauren Bueckert and I joined the Norsask group in Rosthern in 2022 as a Veterinary Office Assistant. I have recently finished my dog obedience program at the Animal Behavioural College. I grew up on mixed farm outside of Davidson SK and have always loved working with animals of every size. My partner and I bought a farm of our own just outside of Rosthern, were we have chickens, a dog and two cats. I have also been gaining experience in the dairy industry on his parents’ farm. In my free time I enjoy training dogs, doing sports with my own dog, spending time with family, gardening, going camping and hiking.

Shelby Penner, Office Administrator
Hi! I’m Shelby Penner, a Veterinary Office Assistant. I’ve been with Norsask since July of 2019 after graduating from my Veterinary Office Assistant program. Working between both Warman and Rosthern clinics, I have experience with all animals. My husband Les & I have a beef farm just outside of Hague with our bonus child, Cohen, & our little girl, Emma. We have two fur babies, RJ & my old boy Mocha. After taking a year off to grow our family I’m looking forward to getting back to doing what I love with all sizes of animals & enjoying some much needed adult interaction.
Michelle Stacey, Office Administrator
Michelle joined the Warman Clinic as a Veterinary Office Assistant in 2023. After spending 17 years in the construction industry, she left to pursue her dream of working in animal health. She had lived and worked in Alberta for most of her life, however 5 years ago decided to make Saskatoon her home. In the summer she spend my weekends camping, gardening, disc golfing or riding her motorcycle. The rest of the time you can find her hanging out at home with her husband and their giant rabbit, Big Booty Judy. She is excited to be part of the Norsask team and look’s forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members.
Melissa Halladay, Office Administrator
Melissa joined the Norsask team in Warman in 2023. She was born and raised in Saskatoon, but grew up spending the majority of her summers out on her grandparent’s farms with a variety of different animals. She enjoys spending her free time with her rescue dog Remi, her family, and heading out to the lake or farm as often as she can. She is super excited to be on the Warman team and to meet you and your fur babies!
Jenae, Office Administrator
Jenae joined the Norsask team in Warman in 2023. She grew up in the village of Medstead before moving to Saskatoon to pursue her diploma in Massage Therapy. Outside of being an RMT, she loves all the organized chaos that animal medicine has to offer at Norsask! When not spending time with your furry friends at the clinic, she loves hanging out with her rat terrier Picasso and her crested gecko Henry. Jenae spends her free time getting outdoors as much as she can, and spending time with her friends and family. She is looking forward to seeing you and your pets at the clinic!
Katie Schubert, Office Administrator
Katie joined the Warman Clinic in 2023 as a Veterinary Office Assistant. Finally landing in Saskatchewan in 2018 she was able to call Warman home since growing up in British Columbia and growing her family in Alberta. Her spare time involves spending free time with her three dogs and two cats when not at the ice rink watching her boys play hockey! She is excited to be part of the Norsask team and meet you and your furry family members!
Stephanie Cantwell, Office Administrator
Stephanie Cantwell graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at McKay Career Training in 2008. She taught the program for 3 years while also continuing to work in the veterinary medicine field.
She is married to her husband, Joshua, and they have three amazing children. She grew up in Martensville, SK and enjoys living on the prairies.
Her main hobby and passion has always been veterinary medicine but her second favorite is the great outdoors. She thinks that sitting around a campfire with family and friends is the perfect place to be.
Rossey Janzen, Office Administrator
Rossey joined the Rosthern Clinic as a Veterinary Office Assistant in 2024. She grew up in Martensville before moving to Saskatoon to complete her Medical Office Administrative Diploma at the Saskatoon Business College in 2019. She recently has made Cudworth her new home. In her spare time she enjoys fishing, camping, and hiking. When she’s not fishing, you can find her hanging out with her Rottweiler named Molly and her two cats, Ivy and Oliver. She is excited to be part of the Norsask team and to meet you and your furry friends!
Kendra Humphries – Office Administrator
Kendra joined the Norsask team in 2024 and is working at the Warman location. She was born and raised in southern Ontario and moved to Saskatchewan in the spring of 2024 to settle down with her husband, Aaron and their cat, Loki- who last year had to have not 1, but 2 FHO surgeries due to feline physeal dysplasia. Kendra has always been a huge animal lover, wanting to play or interact with as many animals as possible wherever she goes. She also grew up with many pets including: dogs, cats, fish & even a crested gecko. When not in the clinic, you can find Kendra spending time with her family, her cat Loki and dabbling in outdoor photography.
