Our Veterinarians

Dr. Doug Bienia

Dr. Doug Bienia is a 1980 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Calgary, Doug is a partner at Norsask Veterinary Group as well as a partner in Emtech Genetics, a separate company that focuses on bovine reproduction, most notably embryo transfer and semen collection for artificial insemination. Doug’s primary interests are in bovine reproduction and dairy management. When he is not a busy practitioner of veterinary medicine, Doug is an avid stock car racing fan and driver. Watch for his #9 car in the SuperLate model class at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway throughout the summer.


Dr. John Ayres

Dr. John Ayres is a 1991 graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK. His origins from a Saskatchewan farm have contributed to his interest in rural mixed veterinary practice and the business management side of a veterinary practice. In addition to his duties as one of the veterinarians in the Norsask Veterinary Group practice, he is also a managing partner for the practice. John has been extensively involved with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association (SVMA) on a number of committees, including a stint as the president of the Association. Away from the practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children.


Dr. Andrea Petruka

Dr. Andrea Petruka is one of the partners at Norsask Veterinary Group. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and has been at Norsask ever since. She grew up in south eastern Saskatchewan on a grain and beef farm. She tries to remain involved with the family farm as much as she can. Andrea enjoys all aspects of the mixed animal practice and her main interests in veterinary medicine include pain management and companion animal dentistry. She has taken numerous courses in dentistry and is pleased to offer high quality dental services. The most recent addition includes being able to do dental restorations. She continues to focus on advancing her dental skills and will keep you posted on new things Norsask will offer! In her spare time Andrea enjoys cooking, gardening, motorcycling with her husband and spending time with her Pug named Otis and her Basset Hound named Oscar.


Dr. Rodney Webber

Dr. Rodney Webber is a 2001 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Nipawin, Rodney was on a path to become a journeyman electrician before deciding to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. As a partner in Norsask Veterinary Group, Rodney is a full time veterinarian in the practice with a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine. Whenever you see Rodney, look around and you will almost certainly find a Jack Russell terrier named George not far away.


Dr. Aimee Hayden

Dr. Aimee Hayden is originally from southern Alberta. She is a 2004 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Aimee has had a great deal of experience in mixed practices in Alberta and Saskatchewan and is very interested in all aspects of practice, most particularly surgery. In addition to her veterinary career, Aimee and her husband own and operate a large cattle and grain farm. Dr.Hayden loves to spend time with her 3 growing children at home, as well as her newest addition Abbie, the Great Pyrenees.


Dr. Jesse Vargo

Dr. Jesse Vargo graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Before joining Norsask Veterinary Group in June of 2017, Jesse worked in a rural mixed animal practice. Jesse grew up on a mixed grain and beef farm in the south east section of Saskatchewan. Jesse’s special interest is in large animal medicine and surgery, although he enjoys all aspects of the mixed practice of veterinary medicine. Jesse currently lives in Warman with his wife and twin daughters, who keep him busy during his off hours. When he isn’t running after the girls Jesse enjoys playing hockey and slo-pitch as well as camping and being outdoors with his family. Jesse looks forawrd to seeing your animals, either in clinic or on your farm!


Veterinary Technicians & Assistants

Chrissie Engel, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Chrissie Engel is a Registered Veterinary Technologist in the Rosthern Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from the veterinary technologist course at Lakeland College in Vermillion in 2000. After a short stint at a practice in Alberta, she joined Norsask in 2000, first at the Warman clinic then moved to the Rosthern clinic in 2002. Chrissie manages the inventory in the Rosthern clinic as well as providing technical assistance to the veterinarians. She and her partner, Scott, have a dog named Emma as well as a cat named Pooper and two sweet children named Maria and Burton.


Pam McMullen, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Pam McMullen is a Registered Veterinary Technologist at the Warman Veterinary Clinic. She joined the practice in July 2012. Pam graduated in 2008 from the Kelsey SIAST Veterinary Technology Program in Saskatoon, SK. Pam grew up on a beef cattle ranch in South Eastern Saskatchewan and tries to go home to help out as much as possible. Pam and her husband, Curtis and son, Sawyer live in Waldheim, SK with their dog name Ruger and two cats: Tommy and Gauge. Pam also has three horses named Rocketman, Jessie and Bacardi. She enjoys riding horses, playing hockey and camping. She can’t wait to meet you and your pets! Pam is currently on maternity leave enjoying her baby girl Brooklyn!


Courtney Quesnel, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Courtney Quesnel is a Registered Veterinary Technologist at the Warman Veterinary Clinic. She joined the practice as a fresh graduate from the SIAST Kelsey Campus Veterinary Technology program in June of 2013. Courtney and her fiancee, Bryan, live in Warman, SK and they have a very full house. They have three dogs: Neeko (Husky), Luka (Papillon X) and Kallah (English Bulldog) and a cat named Rio. Courtney enjoys time at the lake, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Courtney is currently on maternity leave with her new baby boy!


Emily Robinson, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Emily is a Registered Veterinary Technologist that works at the Warman Veterinary Clinic since spring of 2014. She graduated from the SIAST Veterinary Techology program in 2009. Emily and her husband have a Weimeraner named Pluto and two cats named Rascal and Tia. Emily enjoys quilting and gardening in her spare time. She looks forward to seeing you and helping you at the Warman location.


Vanessa Baker, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Vanessa grew up in a small town in southern Ontario. She graduated the Veterinary Technologist program at the University of Guelph (Ridgetown Campus) in 2016. She moved to Saskatchewan looking for more opportunity to start a life with her boyfriend, Matt. Together, they have 3 horses – Rio, Mavrick and Bud (their new little bottle baby) – and a dog named Charlie. On her days off she enjoys boating, fly fishing, quading, horseback riding and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to meeting and building a personal relationship with all of Norsask Veterinary Group’s clients and their animals!


Caitlin Yorke, Registered Veterinary Technologist

Caitlin is a Veterinary Technologist at the Rosthern Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from the veterinary technology course at Lakeland College in June of 2017. Caitlin enjoys reading, hanging out with her dog Bandit and spending time with family in her spare time.


Chelsea Macklin – RVT

Chelsea is a Registered Veterinary Technician, she grew up near Toronto and went to school at Georgian College in Ontario. Chelsea relocated to Saskatchewan with her boyfriend Neil, who works in the military as an electrician. She has a cat named Minerva Mcgonagall (Minnie for short), and plans to add another cat and dog to the family in the future. Chelsea enjoys reading, playing video games and watching Netflix in her free time. Chelsea is excited to be working with Norsask and hopes to see you and your pets soon!


Office Staff Members


Marlene Lehmann, Office Administrator

Marlene Lehmann is the Office Administrator in the Rosthern Veterinary Clinic. She joined the practice in 2001. She was raised on a mixed farm in southern Saskatchewan and brings an extensive history of working in customer service industries to the practice. She has a daughter, Ashley, and a Border Collie named Cassie. She looks forward to meeting and assisting all of the clients at the Rosthern clinic.


Joan Wickett, Office Administrator

Joan Wickett is the Office Adminstrator in the Warman Veterinary Clinic. She joined the practice in 2007. She brought with her more than 25 years of experience working in small animal clinics across western Canada. Over the years she has held many different positions from surgery nurse to administration, but finds her present position interacting with the clients in our mixed practice rewarding. Joan spends any leisure time she has with her family or training for competitive rowing.


Amanda Nobert, Office Assistant

Amanda joined the Warman Veterinary Clinic as an Office Assistant in November 2015. Amanda moved to Warman in the Spring of 2015, and brings with her a diverse background of dog training experience, which she has carried with interest into training other small animals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her family and raising her small herd of rabbits. Amanda’s furry family has recently expanded to include a 6 month old Labrador Retriever.


Kim Hickey, Office Assistant

Kim joined the Norsask Veterinary Team in January 2017 as an office assistant. She moved to Saskatoon from California, USA to take over the family farm. She grew up with a love for animals especially horses and dogs. She attended a junior college in California to study large animal science and had a job working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal clinic where she gained a stronger passion for them. Her goal is to finish school and become a veterinary technician while also attending the firefighting academy in Vermont. Kim has two German Shepherds named Breezey & Duke, a cat named Nova, 6 horses and a pig named Crispy. Kim looks forward to meeting each of your pets at the Warman Veterinary Clinic.
